Challenge:

In 2006, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and Lockheed Martin approached DTS with a very unique and complex set of issues involving the implementation of an EAM system as part of the Deepwater Program. The Coast Guard and Lockheed Martin needed to implement a new EAM for a portion of both organizations, which would have to coexist with the legacy applications and processes while they delivered new assets and new processes. Both organizations also faced challenges of long lead training cycles, very complex applications, delays with new equipment deliveries and new users who had never used an EAM but were comfortable using the Internet.

Solution:

The USCG and Lockheed Martin implemented eMESA™ as a web-based front-end to their new EAM system for all new users. eMESA™ was customized and configured to provide the following for both the USCG and the Lockheed Martin support personnel and management:

The USCG and Lockheed Martin used eMESA™ to:

Comments DTS received during the training phase of the initial eMESA™ implementation:

“eMESA™™ is just like Amazon™™.”

“We should have had eMESA™ in the beginning.”

DTS provides deep EAM experience and a variety of products, including eMESA™, an EAM software solution that allows anyone in your organization to focus on process improvement and asset utilization instead of user training. DTS and eMESA™ will streamline your business processes with an easy-to-use, 100% web-enabled solution that maximizes your existing ERP/EAM investment. With DTS, you implement your process, your way.
