Intrepid Potash uses Mincom Ellipse as its EAM system. The complexity of the Ellipse user-interface was resulting in under-utilization and increased material and training costs for Intrepid. The work execution process was being hindered by excessive completion times, and decision-makers at Intrepid realized the organization needed a more effective solution to increase system utilization rates – especially for work orders and requisitions. They also decided to abandon attempts to continue to retrain users on core EAM functionality, and instead to move to a user-friendly, intuitive, scalable and flexible web application that would solve its immediate needs while leaving room for future growth and evolution.

Intrepid Potash implemented eMESA 3.5 in multiple phases, as a web based front-end to Ellipse for 200 users at the Carlsbad facility, to facilitate and streamline business processes in the following areas:

Using eMESA, decision-makers at Intrepid can now quickly obtain accurate information. Because eMESA's user interface is intuitive and easy to use, system utilization is now dramatically higher – work orders that used to take a dozen screens to finish can now be completed with three clicks. The deep EAM experience that DTS provides, along with eMESA, allows operators to focus on process improvement and asset utilization instead of user training. eMESA™ can streamline business processes in an easy-to-use, 100% web-enabled solution that maximizes existing ERP/EAM investment. DTS helps you implement your process, your way.
